Zombie Practice make up

I just ordered some Kryolan liquid latex, gelatine, Kryolan zombie tooth rot and Ben Nye wax from Screen Face. Here's the link to them  http://www.screenface.co.uk found them really easy to order from and it arrived really quickly to.
I tried doing some zombie make up with my new kit and here is some of the results I got.

On the forehead I used latex and cotton wool, then ripped holes into when it dried and coloured it. Here is a close up of it.

On the chin/ cheek I used latex and tissue, I quite like the result it gave, but might try more layers of latex next time.

The gelatine wound was a more natural colour than the results you get from making gelatine up at home. I still think it needs work, but thought I show you how it turned out any way. The gelatine smelled like baby powder. But at least it has a nicer smell then the home made stuff!

I will put some more posts up when I've played with the Ben Nye wax.

Copper Make up

I was looking through my make up and found my Napoleon Perdis metallic copper eye shadow I bought from New Zealand. It's a very rich colour, it a shame you can't get hold of the brand here in the UK. Here is the look I created with it.
I'm sure if you can see the colours that well in this photo I outlined the copper eye shadow with yellow and blended it in.

SFX Make up

I've been practicing some of my media make up skills, from cuts, graze knees and bruises.
This  cut was created using Grimas Derma Wax, Kroylan colour, ktoylan freash scratch blood and liquid blood. I think it still needs some work, but I'm quite happy with it as I've not done this type of make up for over a year.
Here is my grazed knee using the same products as before.  I used Coco powder to make it look dirty and the add bonus of making it smell nice.

Found out all my bruise gels had dried up, so had to use my Kroylan bruise wheel instead which I think isn't quite as good. And finished off with a bit of fresh scratch blood.

Going to try out Zombie make up next, so I will put up another post when this is done.
