Afternoon Tea

I went for tea at Betty's Cafe on Sunday and this is the look I went for

Sorry the photo's not the best the lightening wasn't that great.

On the eyes I used a light gold on the inner corner of the eye, to make the eyes look bigger. I then used Mac's Lucky Green eye shadow. I really like this colour for summer as its shimmery and a warm looking green. Eyes were lined with Bobbi Brown's black gel liner.
I used Mac's false lashes number 41, these added length more than volume to the lashes. I wore these lashes all day and they stayed on, they feel light on to. Some of the really cheaper lashes feel quite heavy to wear.

For my hair I used Trevor Sorbie heat protection spray, then curled the bottom of my hair with straighteners. I then twisted some of the front section back and fastened with a hair grip.

The day before I went to the Yorkshire Widlife Park and got to wear my new shoes
My new Underground creepers are so comfy :)

The park was quite small but I did get to stroke a wallaby. I don't think I would go again Chester Zoo is better.

Nail Wrap review- Nail Art Warehouse

I recently brought same nail wraps off Groupon 12 designs for £15, which is quite a bargain. The brand I normal Trendy Nail Warps cost £5 each.
The delivery took 10 days which was quite a while, but I didn't mind as they were cheap.

Just some of the designs I bought

I tried them out first on my toes. They wrap its self feels like a sticker not like the other ones I have used which are foils.
The wraps were too small for my toes, width wise. They were hard to smooth off the edges and I ended up with some bubbles. I followed all the instructions that came with them. The ones on my toes have lasted a week and half so far.

Next I tried them out on my finger nails hoping they would be a better fit. I had to cut these down allot to fit my nails but that was fine. The problem which really got to me was how ever hard I tried I got bubbles in the wrap and couldn't smooth it out. And the free edge was also very hard to file down smooth.
So this wraps are a bit of a let down, great designs though. Have a look at my photos and see what you think.

I've recently order some Nail Rock wraps off ASOS which I'm looking forward to using. I will write a review for them, when I have tried them out.

Sunday Shopping trip Make up

Watched a really interesting programme on NHK yesterday called Kawaii International that inspired me to try playing with bottom eye lashes. So this looking is inspired by Shibuya fashion.

I've still got a long way to go, to getting the eye lashes to look more Gyaru .
These are the products I used for my base. I've only just started using the Illamasque concealer, it has a really soft texture and its actually light enough for me skin.

Illamasque cream blusher to highlght cheeks and Mac mineral blusher under cheekbones. I used a small amount of bronzer to try and contour my nose.  I wasn't impressed with the N07 bronzer, it just makes my skin look dirty. I must try and find a good bronzer for light skin.

Trusted Shu Umera lash curlers and Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara. I used Mac pigment in frost as a shimmery base all over the eye lid. I then used the light pink from my Stila pallet and the burgundy in the crease line. I used Bobbi Brow gel liner in on top lashes and Urban Decay pencil on lower lashes.

Bottom eye lashes are number 43 from Eylure, I had to cut these down quite a bit. Top lashes were from Bodyline in Japan. I used the Eylure lash glue this time. It stuck well but didn't stay on in the wind when I went shopping, so I won't be using it again.

If your interested the nail varnish I used was the Blair Nails Inc set. I love the glittery top coat.

This is what I bought when I went shopping in Leeds. Nothing to exciting just essentials that I needed. I looking forward to try out the hair dye as I've never tried a mousse one out before.
